DANIEL LAWLESS

ONE OF OUR OWN

Daniel Joseph Lawless is a conservative small business owner from Novi.  The second of six children of Stephen and Darlene Lawless, Daniel was raised in a middle-class Catholic family.  An Eagle Scout, Daniel graduated from Lake Orion High School in 2000.

Interested in a career in business, Daniel attended Michigan State University, but quickly became disillusioned by the high costs of a degree and lack of real-world business experience of faculty members.  After 2 years, Daniel left to find meaningful mentorship.

In 2006 he started with Guido’s Premium Pizza in Oxford, Michigan.  As an assistant manager Daniel quickly learned the business and started focusing on operations and quality control.  Within 2 years, he was the training manager helping launch new locations, including Novi.  Finally, in 2011 Daniel realized his dream and became a franchisee.

In 2013, Daniel met the love of his life Renee. Together, they are blessed to have 3 wonderful children.

The 2020 Covid shutdown provided so many challenges to every business and family.  Daniel, like so many business owners, worked 12-14 hour days, every day.  Renee started homeschooling and providing the appropriate therapies for our special need children.
